How EntoSus redefines resources and creates ecological resilience.
Sustainability is often misunderstood as a cost factor. At EntoSus we prove the opposite: sustainability is our greatest economic lever. Our business model is based on a genuine circular economy. We use regional residual materials – materials that would otherwise go unused – and our insects turn them into high-quality nutrients.
But the clever part is in the detail: in nature there is no waste. The “by-product” of our farming, known as frass (insect fertiliser), is becoming a much sought-after product for organic agriculture. It is rich in chitin and valuable microorganisms that regenerate soil health and make plants more resilient.
By marketing protein and organic fertiliser we create multiple revenue streams from the same use of resources. That makes EntoSus not only ecologically valuable but, thanks to vertical integration and the complete use of all output streams, also extremely resilient against fluctuating commodity markets.
